MEET YOUR COACH
I Know What It's Like to Need a Way Out
I spent years searching for love in all the wrong places — through abusive relationships, through divorce, through addiction, through choices that eventually cost me the most important thing in my life: time with my children. I didn’t set out to lose everything. I was trying to soothe wounds I didn’t know how to name. Wounds of rejection, betrayal, abandonment, insecurity — wounds that shaped how I saw myself and how I survived.
By January 2019, everything had collapsed. I hit rock bottom.
Not just emotionally. Not just spiritually. I hit the kind of bottom where you look at your life and wonder how you got there — and whether you’ll ever find your way back.
And that’s when God sent help in a way I never expected.
A youth group on their way to feed the homeless found me instead. What happened next changed everything. A couple of complete strangers — people who had walked through the same darkness I was drowning in — took me under their wing and introduced me to the Lord. Through genuine love, accountability, and the support of others in my community, I learned what it meant to be safe, to be seen, and to rebuild a life from nothing.
God didn’t just pull me out of addiction. He pulled me out of the bondage underneath it. The cycles. The shame. The fear. The belief that I wasn’t good enough, wasn’t smart enough, wasn’t worth staying for.
He began rebuilding me from the inside out — slowly, patiently, layer by layer. He taught me how to understand my emotions, my nervous system, my triggers, and the places where trauma had quietly rewritten my identity. He steadied my heart long before I knew that’s what He was doing.
Everything I teach today comes from what He did for me.
And that’s how The Steady Heart Method™ was born.
It isn’t a theory. It isn’t a curriculum I created from a distance. It’s the framework God walked me through — the one He used to rebuild my life piece by piece.
That's why I do this work — not from a textbook, but from a testimony. Every woman who comes to Dare to Hope walks into a space built by someone who has been where she is. You don't have to have it together to start. You just have to be willing to take the next step.
My work is non-clinical, non-diagnostic, and ethically scoped within coaching, mentoring, advocacy, and community care. Her mission is to help people heal what was broken, rebuild what was lost, and rediscover the hope that holds.
